Japanese watchmaker Casio has released a limited edition NASA G-Shock to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle launch.

The G-SHOCK x All Systems Go retains the rugged design that has made the G-SHOCK so popular while integrating a number of design elements that pay homage to NASA and the Space Shuttle program.

The striking black and white design is contrasted by the red of the NASA worm logo on the watch face. The rear of the case features an engraved silhouette of a fully-stacked space shuttle with the dates 1981 to 2021. It also features a one-of-a-kind EL backlight graphic that displays the same design as on the case back when illuminated.

According to Casio, the watch not only commemorates the launch of STS-1 but NASA’s decades of space exploration.

“The commemorative [G-SHOCK] honors decades of space exploration and was designed for watch collectors and space enthusiasts in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle launch, the OV-102 STS-1 mission on April 12th, 1981.”

If you can still get your hands on one, the limited-edition G-SHOCK x All Systems Go retails for $140.

The G-SHOCK x All Systems Go is the second NASA-themed G-SHOCK Casio has released in as many years.

In April 2020, the Japanese watchmaker released an all-white G-SHOCK featuring the then just recently reintroduced NASA worm logo. According to a statement at the time, the watch paid homage to NASA’s “decades of space exploration and groundbreaking discoveries.”
